Documentary screening: American Agitators

Session Information

In March of 2025, The Foundation for Systemic Change released “American Agitators,” a documentary highlighting the work and long-lasting impact of activist Fred Ross. The documentary discusses Ross’ concept that injustice, racism, bigotry and hate should be met with collective action, organization and group movement. This session will feature a showing of the documentary, followed by a brief discussion about how the film's concepts can be applied to modern-day journalism and activism. In partnership with NSPA, FSC runs an annual journalism competition for high school students to report on systemic change strategies in their communities.
