What can journalism do for you?

Session Information

While many students join high school journalism programs as a jump start to a future career in the field, the benefits of being a high school journalist extend far beyond the field itself. In this workshop, we will highlight the skills that one learns through being involved in journalism that will benefit students in the future. From increasing confidence, preparing for presentations and being prepared for the workforce, we will share our students’ stories of how our program helped them and help participants highlight their skills learned through journalism to boost their resumes and experiences for the future.
